ICABEEP - The International Confederation for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics and Economic Psychology

In the 2009 IAREP-SABE conference in Halifax, Canada, the General Assemblies of IAREP and SABE established "The International Confederation for the Advancement of Behavioral Economics and Economic Psychology" (ICABEEP) as a confederation of IAREP and SABE, thus creating an umbrella organization for behavioral economics and economic psychology that consists of the largest two organizations in this area.

The establishment of ICABEEP was part of a set of proposals on how to increase the cooperation between IAREP and SABE, which was adopted by the General Assemblies of IAREP and SABE. The proposals were created by a joint IAREP-SABE committee (Ofer Azar – Chairperson, Morris Altman, Gerrit Antonides, David Leiser, Louis Lévy-Garboua, Alan Lewis, and Rob Ranyard) and the details can be found at http://www.iarep.org/Proposals_ICABEEP.pdf .

ICABEEP is administered by the ICABEEP Executive Committee (also known as the IAREP-SABE coordination committee), which is elected by IAREP and SABE.

Currently the ICABEEP Executive Committee consists of:

Ofer Azar, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel (Chairperson)

David Leiser, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel
