Economic psychology has quite short, but prominent tradition in Poland. Tadeusz Tyszka, the president of IAREP at the beginning of 1990's, is also an autor of first Polish publications in this area. Thus, the "Polish" approach to economic psychology is derived mainly from psychology of decision and social psychology. I become aware of IAREP in late 1990's, and attended my first IAREP/SABE conference in 2008 in Rome. That was the reason why I have changed my interests from consumer behavior (mainly non-reflective decisions, like impulsive and compulsive buying) to psychology of money, especially attitudes towards money. Also, as a person who got a PhD in economy (2003) and in psychology (2009), I really appreciate the cooperation between psychologists and economists. As a current Polish country representative of IAREP my main goal is to popularize both economic psychology and IAREP among Polish researchers and students.
